Mystery Monday (1/16)

Posted on 01/16/2012 by Lance Roper in Mystery Monday

Welcome back to another Mystery Monday contest! Every Monday, we’re going to post a photo from our collection and invite anyone to guess it’s location. The first person to correctly identify the location will win a prize. To start the year, we’ll be offering the winner a $50 discount to any framed photograph in our collection.

Feel free to leave your observations and guesses in the comment box at the bottom of every post.

  • If you can correctly identify the photo with a link to Google Maps showing where it is, or should be, you win! Leave a comment here on the blog or on our Facebook Page.
  • Whoever identifies the photograph and posts a link to its correct location first, wins!
  • This week’s winner will receive a $50 coupon for any framed print, or simple bragging rights! Whichever you prefer!
  • In order to win, the photo’s location must be correctly identified by this Friday at 5:30PM EST.

If you know of anyone else who would enjoy this blog (or perhaps someone who would be a great competitor,) please send them here!

Let the games begin!

Green Ridge St in Scranton, Pa.

Joan, good guess! This photo wasn't taken in Pennsylvania though.

The photo was taken in Northwest Ohio!

Be sure to include links to Google Maps if you think you have the right location!

Wow, a hint on the very first day! There are some awesome cars here; if those are new we're talking early-mid 60s for this photo.

Chris's guess on Facebook was spot on. I wonder if he knows where this is...

I agree, those cars are awesome.

Corner of Main St and Washington St, downtown Castalia, OH. Photo is from 1964: http://vintageaerial.com/photos/ohio/...

I'd call Erie County north *central* Ohio :)

Great job as always, Tony!

I checked on Wikipedia and they said Erie county was technically northwest Ohio! I agree with you though, its smack dab in the middle. I suppose by not telling you that I was only delaying the inevitable, because you found it anyways.
