This photo is taken looking slightly west of north, at the old Nichol's Discount City. The road running at the south side of the store is Leipsic Rd in Dover DE. This Nichol's is now a Home Depot, and located just east of the intersection of US 13 and N. State St. In the background, you can see Dover Downs, the harness/sulky cart racing track. It looks as if construction of the Dover International Speedway NASCAR track has begun. DIS opened in 1968.
