Dixie truck stop now a car lot
Shell gas station with a Sunoco next door
Actually, this is now the TA (Truckstops of America) in Effingham. The Sunoco and that ranch home are where Taco Bell and Panda Express are currently located. Albert Seiler ran the Sunoco. The hotel (since torn down) was the Best Western. The building in the top left is the Yellow Freight Building, which would close in 1980 and later become Griffith's Bekins depot and Heartland Peterbilt.
