Originally Ed Brown Farm, who then sold to William Metternich, and he had 7 kids, which one was William Joseph Metternich, who bought it from his dad in later years. Many family members living there, besides hired hands, before Joe bought it.
Currently David Metternich farms it since Joe has passed away in 2001 and Bonnie is still living.
David has cleaned up the old house and repaired couple barns.
This homesite is up a lane, where Metternich Family members have lived, prior to moving. The house is now gone, a tornado blew down some of the smaller buildings. The old barn and silo are still standing, with structure work on the barn. There is still cattle running in the pasture and creek area by the next generation, David Metternich, who farms this property since 1988.
