My father, Don Cannon, owned this gas station for many years, up until about 1975 or 75. I grew up visiting that place and going on towing calls with my Dad.

Did Don Cannon also have the Station at 45 and Washington also ? That was an impressive building back in the day also. This was a very nice station also and stood for many years after it closed.

A Standard service station, West Belvidere Road, Illinois State Route 120, and South Lake Street, Grayslake, Illinois. View looks north. Per Google Street View, the building lasted until, at least, July of 2012. Today, this is Park on South Lake Street. Note, also, Rockenbach Chevrolet.
