A preserved F-84F-30-GK Thunderstreak, tail number 51-9419. Today this is on display in the parking lot of Americas Best Value Inn, 5 Cavalry Drive, Wenona, Illinois. Along Illinois 17, between Interstate 39/U.S. 51 and Illinois Route 251. I pinned the current location, as I am not sure wher this picture was taken.

This was the front yard of the "Wenona Cheesehouse", on the south west edge of Wenona, just inside the curve off Rt 51 (now I 39). About 1.5 mile north of Rt 17 where it turns and runs west. YOu are looking SE. Cheesehouse is long gone, plane was moved first to town park, then to location noted.
