This is Benedicts' Midway Standard Oil Gas Station one mile north of McLean adjacent to US Route 66. The building is still standing and is a used car dealership.
Was quite the first job.I had a lot of fun working there .Started there in 1965 and finished in 1971when it still was a full service station.worked with a lot of good guys and learned a lot about autos.Worked nites with jerry D and had a ballthere. Really missed it when I-55 came through.such is progress.lol
