This farm is where my great grandfather Addison Richie was a sharecropper for 12 years from 1930 to 2942. My great grandfather Addison decided to retire and my grandfather Alden Valentine, Ritchie rented the farm starting in 1942. My mother Norma was 11 years old at that time. Somewhere towards the end of 1971 my uncle Gail pretty much took over the farm and Valentine moved into a house. They owned town. I currently do not remember the year that my uncle sold out his equipment and stop sharecropping that farm. I can find that out. I am interested in corresponding about this photo. I believe this was known as the Pearce-Carrick farm. That’s how my grandmother spelled it in a life story that she wrote.

Great story, Steve!
