The Mobil station had a small playground. Driving down to my grandparents' south of Springield, my dad would stop here so we could get out of the car and play.

The Mobile Station was ran by Allen Gleeson, it is no longer there, it is now Stinde Electric, with a new large building.

Looking south, at a Mobil service station, and the Lexington Motel, just south of Main Street, along U. S. Route 66, Lexington, Illinois. The motel, today, are apartments. The pin is where the Mobil station was located.
