northern edge of CHENOA, ILLINOIS -- view looks NE. U.S. Route 66 is the 4-lane highway that cuts across lower portion of picture. The TEXACO station building still stands, along with the sign pole, sans the TEXACO letters. The building still has the 'SERVICE' lettering on it!! That is the ILLINOIS CENTRAL GULF (ex-GM & O/ALTON RR, now UP/AMTRAK) Chicago to St. Louis mainline, behind the station, where the PRR boxcar and two covered hoppers are. The road in front of the TEXACO is (McLean)County Road 2850E, N. Division Street.
