Paynes Point Luthern Church and Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in foreground. The church also has a cemetery across the road, and the Stinsonian Cemetery is a bit west of there on the Brick Rd. Paynes Point has 3 cemeteries, but a few houses. The local children attended a one room school in the village until 1958. There was once a feed store with gas pumps and a small general store at the crossroads. It closed in the mid 60's.
