I lived in this house for 3 years and the City of Springfield made me move in 2003 and they burned it down. They wanted the land for Hunter lake which as of this year 2017 has never come to be. The house was built by Rev. Ash and he also had trouble with the city but he fought them to keep it until his death.
I raised my son here. This house was built by a man named Ash. It was a wonderful home and setting by lake Springfield. The city of Springfield burned it down because they plan to someday build Hunter Lake. Lots of good memories but the end was really sad. Hunter Lake is still not built.
