North Hulbert Road McConnell Illinois
This was the McConnell grade school. The building was constructed in 1926 as a two-room school. An all-purpose room/gymnasium was added in 1961 (Freeport Journal-Standard, 1/2/1969). The 1967-68 school year was its last. During that year, the school was used as a special education center. In 1969, the building was part of the Lena-Winslow school district, which decided to sell the property.
