Alvin Township High School, Alvin, Il. Was torn down prior to June 1997. My mother taught there, my dad was on school board, my half brothers and half sister attended in the 1930s. It became the consolidated grade school in 1949 when the high school consolidated with Rossville High School in 1948. The grade school later joined the Rossville district and the building was shut down. Many memories.

I graduated Alvin grade school in 1951. The school is about a mile south of our farm.
