This was the small church my mother and sisters went to, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It was located next to our grade school, Franklin Elementary, which is just out of the frame to the left. The brushy patch behind the parking lot is the community garden, where any family that wanted a patch could have one. My mother had a vegetable patch, and we spent most weekends there, tending to it. There was a small creek running near the gardens, and we caught crawdads there and played in the mud.
