My father and mother, Sumner and Alice Sheets, built this house. My sister and myself grew up here. The farm land has been in our family for over 100 years and has a Hoosier Homestead plaque erected by the land on C.R. 300 South. The barns are no longer there due to a fire approximately 40 years ago. When my father passed away, the house was sold (per his wishes) and the proceeds were given to the Sheets Wildlife Museum in Huntington, which he founded. The farm is still owned by my family.
