My family moved into this house in May 1976. The only building other than the house that is still standing is the barn in the center left of the picture.

This was my grandparents' farm. I spent so many wonderful summer visits here. It brings back all the memories of swinging in the hay loft, gathering eggs from those horrible chickens who I just knew were out to get me, simply sitting with Grandma and Grandpa watching tv and having a dish of ice cream before going to bed, spending hours on the front porch swing just reading and enjoying the peace and quiet that we didn't have living in the city (Ft. Wayne). My grandpa was a quiet man, but a hard worker and very proud of his farm. I'm so glad that I was able to see a picture again of what it was like when I was a child.
