Wayne & Katie Thurston's Texaco store called Midway. Looks like it was being built in this photo. Most wonderful couple; I cherish the memories I have of them and their store. I can still remember the shiny green floor and the "loafers" room.
Store was originally in Bengal, but moved to 44 for better traffic. Store operated there from 1970 until the late 1980's, I think.

Midway was here way before 1970 I lived close by on 100 S from 1952 - 1968 and it was there than. Not sure when it was built but we would ride our bikes to the store for RC Cola's between 1958 and 1968 when we moved away and sold the farm.
