My family grew up here, and my mom still lives there. Looks like early 70's before the tornado took out the trees and pig barn. Awesome!

The property now has its 3rd house on it. There has been no barn on it for several years do to a fire in the late 70's. Now thanks to a stupid tornado the only original buildings left are the bull pen and 1 shed that you can not see that is hidden behind the big oak tree behind the house. The tornado in, i think 2008, took the second house, the 2 grain bins, the silo and half the roof of the shed that is still there from the beginning. The tornado also took all the trees along the road and most of the tall pine trees and what was left of the cedar trees on the right side of the top driveway. The old garage and milk house have been gone for years. The new house went on the foundation from the second house that had been built in about 1981 approx.. The big oak tree behind the house was preserved by my dad with huge metal rings when the hauled in the dirt to build the foundation for the second house and it luckily made it through the tornado because it is now the only tree that is left in the front yard. There is not much left to remind us what the farm looked like as we were growing up. But, it is still home because our mom is there in a nice new house where we still have many memories to share with one another.
