This is my parents farm! I was 19 when this picture was taken and had completed a year of college. This is so fun to see because 3 years later in June of 1984 the infamous tornado came through the town of Wright and roared just south of the farm by a yards I am guessing and the big barn you see in the center here fell that night. That was very sad because the barn held very special memories of ball tag and basketball in the hay mow! Where the board is missing under the one window we used to look out to see if the person who went to the house for snacks and water was on their way back! The trees to the north of the house and around the pond are monsterous now!! Speaking of the pond there were lots of days of swimming, fishing and ice skating on that pond!! After a hot day in the beanfield pulling weeds a dive into that pond hit the spot!! Oh the memories. So glad to have grown up on this place and glad my dad still calls it home.

Great picture of the homestead, Elie.

Wow. Elie I don't have a farm that I grew up on but there are places that I hole so very dear to my heart that I know how you feel. I miss my childhood so very much and I look forward to sharing those memories with my future children because that is how we keep those memories alive. Thank you for sharing this.

Elie, so awesome to share what you had in da days! Lovely farm and it means so much to still have that in your life. That much is stable, but many changes as time goes on!

I have been missing the farm today very much, The tears ar rolling.
