This is my grandparents' farm (Adolph and Marcile Hansen) where my father grew up (Lyle Hansen). Compared to the 1971 picture you can see the fence has been removed from around the cattle lot, several trees have been cleared to allow room for the next large grain bin, and the windmill is gone. Farmers were continuing to switch to mostly row crop operations from a mixed feeder lot and crop rotation.
