This farm was owned by the Poen family since before 1900. Gerd Poen, an immigrant was one of the first to own it. He willed it to one of his daughters. It has been in the Poen family and is currently still owned by the great, great, granddaughters. The acreage still exists. It is located in Section 23 in Viola Township.
