This is the old George Kraus place, now my home (Windy Holler). The picket fence is gone as well as 5 of the cedar trees in the yard. There is now a shed linking the garage and shop. Where you can see a small waterway from the driveway extending to the right is now a 2 foot dry stream. The original well was open but had a peaked roof that you can just make out in the left front corner of the fenced in yard. It had a hoist and bucket that you lowered into the well to get water. I still have the roof which now sits on the foundation of the hand-dug well which is only 13 feet deep, most likely where the hit a rock ledge.
