Photo 31-THE-3

That's the farm I grew up on. It was the Jenkins Bros. Charolais Farm (Wayne and Ernest, my dad and uncle, respectively), situated across from the Henry County High School. My aunt and uncle lived in a pre-civil war house you see in the forefront of the photo. It was built around 1830. Far right shows a truck, which was my dad's and is parked next to our house, just out of frame. About 10 years after this photo was taken, my dad moved into the old house where my uncle and aunt had lived. Dad died there in 2006. I sold the farm five years later to a neighbor. That Antebellum house is, sadly, empty and deteriorating.
