Photo 31-THE-5

That's the farm I grew up on. It was the Jenkins Bros. Charolais Farm (Wayne and Ernest, my dad and uncle, respectively), situated across from the Henry County High School. My aunt and uncle lived in the house you see in the photo. It was built around 1830. (Next photo shows the house on the farm where I was raised.) About 10 years after this photo was taken, my dad moved into the old house where my uncle and aunt had lived. Dad died there in 2006. I sold the farm five years later to a neighbor. That Antebellum house is, sadly, empty and deteriorating.
