Mrs. Nichols' home. My brother used to garden for her in the 1970's. My mother cleaned her house in the 1970's as well. She always had St. Bernard's, all named Sam, which we thought was bad luck. Agnes was VERY Catholic. She always gave out peanuts for Halloween! Nice treat for us, as we only got peanuts at Christmas usually. Sometimes she gave peach blossoms. Yum! Then people started putting pins in candy and poisoning, so all that unwrapped stuff had to stop. Bummer. I know some people made hand-made popcorn balls before those days and Rice Krispie Treats. We had it GOOOOOD!
