Aw here is the cemetery?just past Jewell's.....
I can't believe how much Jewell Farm has changed but, yet, how much of it has stayed the same! What an amazing glimpse into the past.
I remember it that way.....emery lived in the small house....al Jewell's father .
Alliston Jewell's house (the big white one-center) was the feature of a very popular Maine postcard in the 1970's depicting a typical Aroostook farmhouse and barn. It now has a stand of Maples blocking the view of the front yard and the original frame homestead (little white house forefront) is no longer there. The white structure to the exrreme right looks like a potato house which is also no longer there. The two small structures in front of the line of 3 red buildings are no longer there.
