John Smith's house, now John Pluto's.
In the upper right corner is the canteen of the Van Buren Drive-In Theatre. The drive-in operated from the summer of 1950 through the fall of 1989. The small building between the Smith house and the drive-in canteen was a storage building that was originally behind a large house owned by Lillian Keegan (the house had been destroyed by fire by the time this photo was taken). When this photo was taken in 1965, the drive-in was owned and operated by my parents, Gilman and Earline Grandmaison.
