The old Sonny Watt farm - Currently Mark & Nancy Rafford's - Route 11 Ashland (Mansards Road)

In 1965 this was Linwood and Amelia Cowett's (my grandparents') dairy farm. My mum was the youngest, and she graduated from ACHS in 1962. I'm not sure how much longer Grampy and Gram ran the farm. After them it was the Watts', the Weeks', the D'Angelo's (or maybe D'Angelis, and that family was the first to not do dairy) and now the Rafford's property.

Fred and Elizabeth Howes residence during the Great Depression era.

Sonny Watt ran the dairy farm from around 1969 to 1978 that was the end of the dairy farm. Dad sold the farm to Bill Angelo's.

Grammy Amelia and Grampy Linwood Cowett bought the farm from the Howes after their original farm in Wrightville (Rightville? The side road near Nashville Plantation, across the old train trestle from Sheridan) burned.

I think the Howes family may have been the first to own the property.

Ike Howes and his family lived in a house on the farm property that they kept as part of the sale of the farm to our grandparents.
