Halifax School on Halifax & Dallaire Street, Winslow Maine. I went to school here for 2nd (Mrs Brown) & 3rd grades (Mrs Glidden). My father & his 3 brothers grew up on Dallaire St in the house you can just see the end of the roof in the lower right of the photo.

The Halifax Street School was demolished in the early 1990s, after town voters declined a proposal to turn it into a new public library after the one on Lithgow Street was destroyed by floods. Today this area is Halifax Street Park, with no other permanent development on the land.

For homes in the area, the three that can be most-seen at the bottom have had few changes, with a partial second floor added to the home at the most bottom left. The triple-decker at the corner of Dallaire and Halifax has since had the stairs enclosed as part of the building. The next home has seen few changes, though a new home has since been constructed in the field next to it. In the top right, the home on the left stands relatively unchanged today, though the one to the right has since been demolished.
