Lithgow Street

The tanks suggest this was Bill's Oil Service.

Chase Fuel. My aunt's house is at top left.

22 Lithgow Street, Winslow, ME. At the time Bill's Service Station and Fuel Plant. This property has changed heavily; gone are the tanks in the foreground, the four-bay garage at the left, the rail tracks in the middle of the property, and all of the buildings associated with the house and garage. These were torn down prior to the 2000s, and replaced with a metal building that now houses the Maine Crisp Company. The larger building behind is much the same has has additions to the side and the front office part is now wrapped in vinyl siding.

Moving further up the photograph, the curved-roof building still stands, today housing a general contractor. The addition to the large building stretches to be in line with this building today. The longer building behind it is much the same, though the tanks near it have been removed and the area paved over. Everything above these tanks on that side of the road is gone, with an auto repair garage now where the open lot to the top left is.
