Sometime prior to the late 2000s the front porch was converted to living space, with many of the windows being walled over and new windows being installed. Around this same time the roof was changed to metal for both structures. The trees in front of the porch were long gone by then, and in 2022 a wide porch and access ramp was built off the front of the house.
