147 Pleasant View Ridge Road, China, ME. This property is similar to as seen in this photo, though there have also been a number of changes. Starting with the home - what appears to be a front door at the bottom left of the front façade was walled in some time prior to the 2010s, likely as front door use fell out of favor. It is difficult to determine if the rear ells seen here are the same as today or rebuilt ones, as the barn at the rear was either demolished/destroyed, or possibly moved to a new spot on the land. Today there is a large gambrel-shaped barn in approximately the location where the older house or outbuilding is to the left. The modern barn is similar in size and shape, but it is difficult to determine if it's the same barn. Without saying, that older home has since been demolished.
The fields to the right of the home have been allowed to grow, with a dense wooded lot now where the field at the farthest bottom left corner is. The field behind are mostly used for haying, though sometimes corn is grown in them. The building across the road (150 Pleasant View Ridge Road) is gone and replaced with a simple cape-style home.
