This was the VIS Hall (Village Improvement Society) when I was growing up in Rumford Corner in the 1950's and 60's. We used to have suppers and dances there. I used to go there every Sunday in the winter and start the wood fire for Sunday school. I guess the village didn't need any more improving as they sold it to a farmer for storage.
