This was the farm of Mr. Emile Cloutier. He was a confirmed bachelor. Sadly, the house was recently burned down since it was uninhabitable. The barn roof caved in sometime in the 1980s under the weight of snow. Mr. Cloutier also owned hayfields across the road, but they are all grown over with scrub pine. I used to work on this farm in the summer in the fields. And interesting tidbit about this house---while it was very handsome on the outside, the upstairs had never been finished. I recall seeing photos of it on a real estate website a few years ago. The walls were bare studs!

This farm was owned my Mr. Emile Cloutier when I was a kid. It's located on Waterville Road, Skowhegan, Maine. Sadly, all structures in this photo no longer stand. The house was recently burned down (autumn 2015). The barn roof collapsed due to heavy snow, as I recall, back in the early 1980s. This was another farmer I worked for during the haying season. As handsome as the house is in this photo, the upper level was never finished. It bare studded walls and ceilings. Mr. Cloutier's hay fields were across the highway. Sadly, those too are all grown over with scrub pine.
