I grew up in this house and my mother still lives there. It had not changed much.

We have aerial pics of my old farm homestead, too. So cool to have!

As kids we called this the King Cole place

It's 300 Portland Rd, Buxton, ME. It was built in 1832 and was and is known as the Oliver Harmon Farm built by James O.A. Harmon.

It's great to know it's still being lived in and cared for. We called it the King Cole place, too. (We lived across the street on Pease Rd Ext.) Growing up, we were always told it was haunted and that everyone who owned it had either gone crazy or killed themselves. Just a story, no doubt, but that was the local legend in the 70s. A Frank Bickford bought it in the 80s who had racehorses. I remember all his horses getting sick with Strangles, and then something happened involving a shooting... I think I remember he shot his wife and then himself? Seemed to us kids that the legend was true then!
