I live in this house. It is "Elmwood" - kitchen portion built 1770. Brick portions built 1815-1820. It is on the National Register. It was built by Col. Arnold Elzey Jones (born 1785), part of the Elzey family which built the adjacent house Almodington in 1743. Col. Jones' son Arnold Elzey was born in the house in Dec. 1816 and became a Confederate General.
