This farm was originally owned by my great grandfather, Jacob G. Herringa with his wife, Ida J. Ellen. Their daughter, Johanna, married Johannesburg Siebelink. They were my grandparents. Their daughter, Margaret, married my dad, Lester Dykstra, who bought the from sometime in the mid 1940s. I grew up on this farm along with my brother, Ronald, and my sister, Jan. My sister and her husband, Dale Boersen, bought the farm in the 1980s (?) and were the owners when this photo was taken. Now their son, Brent Boersen and his wife, Angla live on the farm.

The biggest change that has happened since this photo was taken is that the barn is no longer there. It was taken down following storm damage several years ago.
