Old Forest Hill Store converted to apartments, Riley Township, Corner of Jason and Forest Hill Roads, Riley Township, Clinton County, Michigan

I know the people that owned the Forrest Hill Store, Elmer & Doris Marten; my Aunt Bertha Light worked there for many years. I remember going there with my parents to get our groceries when I was a young girl. My Aunt Edith & Uncle Gordon lived accross the road from the store, have many memories of that place.

I think I was living there when this photo was taken! Our family lived in the large upstairs apartment from around 1966-1970?. Elmer and Doris were so sweet! I still have a wooden jewelry box he made for me. They invited us to St. Peter Lutheran Church, where we were baptized and became members in 1970. There were some very sweet elderly ladies in the neighborhood also (who made great cookies). Mrs. Elsie Horman was one-
