Harold Cook farm. I own the 1957 Allis Chalmers tractor pictured just in front of the building lower center, purchased by my grandfather around 1981.

Hi Lucas! How fascinating that your family has a connection to the tractor in the photo. It must hold sentimental value for you. We would love to hear more about your memories growing up in Clinton County! What kind of farming did you and your family do on the property? It's always interesting to learn about the changes that have taken place over the years.

Alexis, we never owned this farm, just the tractor. We lived about a mile east and North of Pewamo, the house is actually pictured in another reel. Grandpa worked construction and they were replacing windows for Harold in the late 70s. He made an attempt at purchasing thentractor, but Harold wasn't quite ready to sell it. He called a couple years later and they struck a deal.

This farmstead is now owned by another family, I am unsure if they have any relationship to the Harold Cook family or not. Though a majority of thentrees are gone, the house, the barn the tractor is sitting in front of, aswell as the larger barn in the upper right hand corner and a few out buildings remain. As of the last few years, they have resumed atleast SOME farming operation, I believe beef cattle.
