Eugene A Ewald and Beatrice M Richmond Ewald owned this home when I was a child. I was born in the old Gladwin Hospital in 1948. My sibling Dianna Lee Ewald was also born in the old Gladwin Hospital in 1945. The hospital had just reopened in August, 1945, when Dianna was born. The hospital was closed due to World War II. My two older siblings Sharon A Ewald DeBolt and Richard E Ewald were born in Detroit, but where very young when they moved to Gladwin. They both graduated from the Gladwin High School as well as myself. Dianna died at 18 years old from a fall from a horse. She would have graduated in 1964.
