Old Mission General Store and Post Office. It's one of a kind and still has a nostalgic feel to it. Gas pumps came out in the 80's or maybe early 90's.

My great uncle George Lardie owned it. Henry (HM) Lardie was the postmaster for many years. So the story goes, it was the second gas station in Michigan. When Henry Ford would unload his car(s) off the boat in Old Mission to drive over to Bowers Harbor to get to his island, (Fords Island now known as Power Island). He needed a way to get gas so the store started supplying gas. I remember my grandfather working in the cherry orchard right next to the store.
