This is my boyhood home...I came here when I was 4 years old (1944) The small building was our chicken coop..I raised chickens for 4-H projects and won many blue ribbons from the N.W. Michigan Fair. The large tree in the back is a American Chestnut and a winner in size and age...Verified by the American Chestnut Society. The large pine in front yard I use to jump over on my way to the mailbox...When I see its size now its unbelievable!!
