This is the Pleasant View United Brethren In Christ Church on Pleasant View Road, at the corner of Bird Lake Road in Ransom Twp., Hillsdale Co., Michigan. I grew up in this church. My gg grandfather Thomas Burt, Jr. was the treasurer when the church was built in the 1870's. In the mid 1970's, as a young man I helped build the addition to the right side. Behind that is the original woodshed. My father Donald Douglass and fellow church member Harold Buckner built the cross on the front, and the sign in the yard. Spirea bushes in the background came from my parent's home nearby. It was closed and then sold off in the early 1990's.
