I grew up here with my two sisters and younger brother. I helped dad build the pool that is attached to the back of the house. The last building in the picture was the hangar where dad kept his plane. The runway runs from in front of the house past the top left of the photograph, it was a 1/4 mile long dirt and grass, but we kept it smooth as possible. When we were young we attended the Colfax #9 Stenton School at Richardson and Thomas Rd., then we finished our schooling at Bad Axe High School. Nowadays, the pool and all the out buildings are gone, and the driveway is paved. It is labeled a "Heritage" Farm because it has been in the family for over 100 years.
