I grew up here on the weekends & vacation & now sits a house, bought the land in 1978/79 from Conkey & still own it as of year 2023

Hi Michael! Thank you for sharing your connection to the area! It sounds like you have a rich history there. We'd love to hear more about your memories growing up in Huron County. Can you tell us about any notable landmarks or favorite spots in the area during the early 80s? We're also curious if you've noticed any significant changes since then.

I remember the IGA & Cassville lumber company & the Bay window restaurant which isno longer there as well few yrs. ago River side bar by the bridge caught fire 2019? I also remember going out on the Sheriff's boat operating it in the 80s with my father Erin McMahon who was retired from Detroit police dept. & Cassville chief of police Jack Jensen, going to Charity Island across the bay. My mother was raised Part of her life in Caseville she was McArdle & her Mother was Hebert.
