I grew up here and this would have been when I was about 8. We moved in in the winter, I think November or December 1968. My Dad painted the barn and the house and added shutters and a new roof by this time. I remember it was all in need badly. There were no trees directly behind the house, just off to the side. Those 2 trees were black walnut and they were messy, but the only shade to play in on a hot summer day. My mother didn't want us playing by the road. My sister was 10, brothers were 6 and 3.
