Mount Pleasant, Michigan. When my mom attended Central Michigan University in the 70s, she used to buy groceries at the Farmer Jack.
Pretty much this entire strip has been re-tenanted. Kmart is now Hobby Lobby, Farmer Jack is now Dunham's Sports, and JCPenney is now Burlington.

I don't make it out to Mount Pleasant much, but I believe I did shop at that JCPenney at least once.
