I currently own this home. It was split off back in the late 1990's to 33.3 acres and then split again in 2002 down to 3.3 acres. This property was originally purchased in 1868 and home built by J.W. Kirby with several hundred acres. An original sketch can be found in a book with a biography about J.W Kirby in a book of Kalamazoo history published in 1870's? Lots of trees gone along with the barn corncrib and outbuilding to the right. The barn came down with straight line winds that hit Battle Creek in early 2000's.
