Lum School. I did not attend, but, my older siblings did. They shut it down when I was about 3 (around 1970). Wished I had gone there so I could experience"country school." Then, it became a school for special needs kids. My mom worked there as a teacher's aid and musical therapist. She had music classes in the building in the back, and taught the kids to sing while she played the piano. Not sure how long she was there before they moved the students to the Oakdale Campus in Lapeer. I would guess approximately around 1979-80. The building in the front was still used for meetings and events for several years. I believe they tore it down in the 90s?
